I build the bridge between NetApp’s traditional on-premises storage world and modern public cloud — and I write about it here so you don’t have to learn it the hard way.

By day, I’m a Cloud Solutions Architect for AWS at NetApp. I help global customers design and run cloud-native solutions, with a strong focus on Amazon FSx for NetApp ONTAP (FSxN) — the kind of work where enterprise storage requirements meet the realities of Kubernetes, automation (Ansible, Terraform), and DevOps pipelines. Ransomware protection in cloud environments is a topic I keep coming back to, because “it won’t happen to us” is rarely a plan.

I also speak regularly at technical conferences (via Sessionize, among others) on cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes integrations, and I’m active in the community around NetApp Trident, the storage orchestrator for container environments — sharing what I learn about wiring NetApp technologies into modern microservices architectures.

But most of what ends up on this blog starts at home, not at work: in my little HomeLab, where I break things on purpose before they get the chance to break in production. Recent posts here cover using AI together with FSxN, quota reporting, and orchestration with Argo CD — real problems I ran into, written up the way I wish someone had written them for me.
